Changyi Yvonne Liu, clarinet, is originally from Taiwan. She is a full-time oncology nurse and a part-time musician. Other than music, she also likes crocheting dolls and exploring gourmet food.
Laurie Ho, clarinet, works in business operations during the day and plays clarinet during the night with Foothill Symphonic Winds, Winchester Orchestra, and clarinet chamber groups. She enjoys hiking and collecting national parks.
Chien-Pei Yang, a percussionist and pianist, performed with the Taipei Percussion Ensemble and taught at the Taiwan Classical Music Society (2007-2012). She joined Sac State Percussion Ensemble in 2012, frequently performing American New Music in Sacramento and premiered Kaija Saariaho's work at UC Berkeley.
Glenn Fisher, cello, started chamber music with his family. He was principal cellist of the Peninsula Symphony for 20 years. He is a passionate chamber music player. He is retired from a tech product marketing career. He enjoys music, hiking, travel, and grandkids.
Beverly Rollins, piano, holds degrees in music from Indiana University, and in Computer Science from Oregon Graduate Center. She was staff accompanist at Duquesne U. She plays chamber music, teaches piano and is music director of the Sunnyvale United Church of Christ.
The Sereno Quartet is a saxophone quartet, playing original and transposed music for saxophone quartet many genres.
David Miller, saxophone, has played clarinet and saxophone in many ensembles and orchestras in the UK and in the Bay Area, and enjoys a wide range of musical styles. When not playing music, he has taught at Stanford University.
Mark Schwartz, saxophone, after graduating from the University of the Pacific with a Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance, has performed with several local musical ensembles including the Sereno Saxophone Quartet (2010-), Los Gatos-Saratoga Big Band (2005-), San Jose Wind Symphony (2003-2004), as well as several theater groups.
Ted Brown, saxophone, is a retired mechanical engineer from NASA and other Bay Area companies who has played clarinet and saxophone in a number of Bay Area ensembles.
Jerome Nehemiah plays clarinet and saxophone with a number of South Bay jazz bands and orchestras and smaller jazz and classical ensembles. He started the LGS Big Band with Mark Schwartz in 2005.He is a retired physician/surgeon and Covid advisor for the Silicon Valley Arts Coalition.
