About the Performers

David Allen, oboe, plays in many Bay Area ensembles, including the Palo Alto Philharmonic and Cambrian Symphony.  He also loves chamber music, whenever and wherever!   His day job is helping leading companies with their technology strategy.

Aaron Colverson, violin, has a degree in Professional Music focused on jazz violin performance and is a Doctor of Philosophy in Ethnomusicology and a Research Associate with the U. of Florida’s Center for Arts in Medicine. He spent time in Kenya learning their music traditions.

Naomi Dushay, horn, loves playing chamber music and orchestra music.  She started on horn at the age of 10 and eventually figured out she was happiest playing horn as an amateur.  She is endlessly grateful for that privilege.

Glenn Fisher, cello, started chamber music with his family. He was principal cellist of the Peninsula Symphony for 20 years. He is a passionate chamber music player. He is retired from a tech product marketing career. He enjoys music, hiking, travel, and grandkids.

Yi Han, clarinet, started playing in 11th grade. He minored in music and played in an orchestra at Stony Brook University. He is an engineer and plays with groups in the Peninsula. He also plays the Hulusi and Xiao (flutes) and enjoys cycling and hiking.

Irene Herrmann, cello, is an active chamber music cellist in the Bay Area. A former staff accompanist at UCSC, she performs Italian music on the mandolin and old-time American Music on fiddle and cello.

Laurie Ho, clarinet, works in business operations during the day and plays clarinet during the night with Foothill Symphonic Winds, Winchester Orchestra, and clarinet chamber groups. She enjoys exploring new cities and national parks.

Elizabeth Lee, piano, studies with Helene Wickett. She particularly enjoys playing with chamber ensembles and singers in the Peninsula area. Her day job is with San Mateo County Mental Health Services.

Scot Moore, violin, performs and teaches both violin and viola in a variety of musical genres. He has worked with artists including Dawn Upshaw, Peter Serkin, Amanda Palmer, Andre Nickatina, and Bill T. Jones.

Beverly Rollins, piano, holds degrees in music from Indiana University, and in Computer Science from Oregon Graduate Center. She was staff accompanist at Duquesne U. She plays chamber music, teaches piano and is music director of the Sunnyvale United Church of Christ.

She is an architect for education and large-scale residential projects.
