Glenn Fisher, cello, grew up playing chamber music with his family. Glenn played in orchestra through college, then spent several summers playing at "Music from Bear Valley". He was principal cellist of the Peninsula Symphony for 20 years. Teachers include Gabor Rejto and Stephen Harrison. He performs frequently in the Bay Area.
Beverly Rollins, piano, holds degrees in music from IU Bloomington, and in Computer Science from Oregon Graduate Center. She was staff accompanist at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, before moving to Silicon Valley to chase the dot com boom with her husband and two children. Influential teachers include Henry Upper, Lucy Greene, Sheila Paige, and Irene Schrier. She teaches piano, accompanies, and plays chamber music.
Jeff Wolfeld has been working as a software engineer and performing as a clarinetist in the Bay Area since 1981. He was a founding member of the Avanti Winds, the Stanford Klezmer Band, and the Beth Am klezmer band, Klezmore Square.
Jennifer Wolfeld, bassoon, has performed with a number of different ensembles on the Peninsula, on the East Coast, and Europe. Jennifer is a linguist, and teaches English and Communication skills at Carnegie Mellon University, Silicon Valley.
Ben Lloyd performs on oboe and English horn with several orchestras and chamber groups in the Bay Area in addition to this illustrious quintet. During the day, he directs an architecture management office at NetApp, where his musical skills and degree in Russian Literature are of absolutely no use.
Adrian Sanborn, a PhD student at Stanford, studies how genes are turned on and off using genomics, biochemistry and computational biology. Prior to Stanford, Adrian earned a Masters in Music at New England Conservatory, where he studied with Paula Robison and Elizabeth Rowe, and a bachelor’s degree at Harvard in mathematics.
Diane Ryan has been a freelance musician on the Peninsula for many years, playing regularly with West Bay Opera, and Theatreworks. She earned her performance degree in music from San Francisco State and is a music contractor for numerous groups around the Bay Area including Stanford Live, Theatreworks, Schola Cantorum and Oratorio Society.
